Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care under supervision for assigned General Surgery patients while maintaining professional accountability and coordinating care across departments. Ensure patient rights and confidentiality are upheld throughout the shift. Maintain a current RN license and obtain Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire. Requires at least two years of patient care experience, a graduate nursing degree, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform prolonged standing. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure
- Meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or completion within 30 days of hire
- Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
