Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care under the supervision of a licensed provider or Registered Professional Nurse for assigned patients in the General Surgery unit. Coordinate patient care with other departments while maintaining professional accountability and patient confidentiality. Obtain and maintain a current RN license and complete Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire. This part-time role requires 24 hours per week, scheduled from 7:00pm to 7:00am, and includes physical demands such as lifting up to 50 lbs and prolonged standing. Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience is required.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure
- Meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or completion within 30 days of hire
- Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
