Job Summary
Provide patient care on the General Surgery Medical-Surgical inpatient unit using the nursing process while maintaining professional accountability. Coordinate care with other departments and ensure patient rights and confidentiality are upheld. Perform duties consistent with Mercy's mission, values, and service standards. This full-time night shift role (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) requires a current Missouri RN license and BLS certification. The position offers a sign-on bonus of up to $10,000 for experienced nurses or $5,000 for new graduates. Join a collaborative team where your voice matters.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with one of the following: Associate Degree in Nursing, Nursing Diploma, or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Must hold and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri or possess compact licensure, in accordance with state board of nursing regulations
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, or completion within 30 days of hire
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
- Full-Time employment (36 hours/week)
- Night Shift (7:00 PM-7:30 AM)
