Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care for assigned patients in the General Surgery unit. Maintain professional accountability and coordinate care in conjunction with other departments while evaluating the effectiveness of care provided by direct care givers. Ensure patient rights and confidentiality of information are upheld in accordance with Mercy service standards. Requires a current RN license, BLS certification, and minimum two years of patient care experience. Part-time schedule of 24 hours per week, days 7a-7p.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure
- Meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or completion within 30 days of hire
- Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
Desired Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in nursing
