Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized care, coordinate resident assessments, and implement preventative measures, health maintenance, and treatments for residents at the Long Term Care facility. Collaborate with interdisciplinary colleagues, providers, and families to plan, evaluate care, and ensure safe administration of services. Serve as charge nurse when needed to delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed personnel within their scope of competence. Maintain competency in age and population-specific standards while adhering to the Nurse Practice Act and American Nurses Association Code of Ethics.
Required Qualifications
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA)
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred
