Job Summary
Provide professional nursing care to patients within the urogynecology medical practice, assisting physicians in treatment and completing related clinical paperwork. Interpret guidelines and policies while communicating clearly with patients, families, visitors, and staff using a caring, friendly, and professional approach. Operate specialty clinic equipment and perform a variety of medical treatments and procedures as assigned. Maintain effective working relationships with the public and employees, applying Christian values to all responsibilities. Interpret, adapt, and apply organizational policies and procedures in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Knowledge of the principles and skills needed for nursing, care, examination, diagnostic and treatment room procedures
- Knowledge of medications and their effects
- Knowledge of patient education
- Knowledge of principles to develop a self-care program
- Knowledge of instruments and common safety practices
- Current valid state license
- CPR certification or obtain within 90 days of employment
- Skill in assisting and performing a variety of medical treatments and procedures
- Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations
- Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and policies
- Ability to communicate clearly
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, staff and the public
- Basic computer terminal and keyboard skills, or the ability to learn these skills
- Ability to operate equipment normally related to the specialty of the clinic
