Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation for residents. Coordinate care and conduct resident assessments while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to plan and evaluate treatment phases. Manage preventative care, health maintenance, and various nursing interventions across all phases of resident treatment. Serve as charge nurse to delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel within their scope of competence. Practice within the full scope of nursing expertise and adhere to state licensure standards and the Nurse Practice Act. Includes every other weekend and holiday rotation on 12-hour night shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA)
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred
