Job Summary
Coordinate and direct nursing care for all residents, conducting daily rounds to ensure staff adherence to facility standards and reporting problem areas to the Director of Nursing. Monitor medication passes, treatment schedules, and documentation accuracy while maintaining adequate stock levels of medications and supplies. Lead committee meetings for infection control and quality assurance, assist in developing in-service training programs, and create written plans of care for each resident. Ensure all personnel follow safety regulations, participate in disaster drills, and uphold resident rights.
Required Qualifications
- Valid and current R.N. or L.P.N. License in the State of Florida
- Ability to write, read, and speak the English language
- One (1) year's experience as a supervisor in a hospital, long-term care facility, or other health related care facility
- Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long term care
- Leadership and supervisory ability
- Willingness to work harmoniously with professional and no professional personnel
- Ability to move intermittently throughout the workday
- Ability to speak the English language in an understandable manner
- Ability to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position
- Ability to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to assure that the requirements of this position are fully met
