Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients with multi-system issues in a safe therapeutic environment. Gather data through history taking and physical assessment to interpret patient status and identify age-specific needs. Develop, evaluate, and revise patient care plans while documenting progress toward desired outcomes. Administer medications, provide direct patient care, and teach patients or families about discharge and procedure preparation. Lead the health care team, serve as a resource person for the shift, and supervise licensed nursing assistants. Manage time and resources to deliver patient care while adhering to organizational standards and protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from an accredited School of Nursing
- BSN preferred
- Registered Nurse - New Hampshire Board of Nursing
- Basic Life Support - American Heart Association
- One year prior clinical nursing experience
- Evidence of the ability to perform as a member of a team
- Must regularly lift, carry or push/pull up to 10 pounds
- Must frequently lift, carry or push/pull up to 10 - 25 pounds
- Must occasionally lift, carry or push/pull up to 20 - 50 pounds
- Must have color vision
- Must have depth perception
- Must have far vision
- Must have near vision
- Must have peripheral vision
