Job Summary
Provide patient care for individuals with psychiatric illness, behavioral disorders, and chemical dependency using the nursing process. Maintain professional accountability for assigned patients and coordinate care with other departments. Evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by direct care givers while ensuring patient rights and confidentiality are upheld. Perform duties consistent with Mercy's mission, values, and service standards within a structured therapeutic environment that includes evaluation, education, medication therapy, and relapse prevention. Work nights for 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
- Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- 36 hours per week, Nights
