Job Summary
Registered Nurse - Full Time Evenings in Long Term Care: Provide individualized nursing care to residents using the nursing process, collaborate with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams to plan, implement, and evaluate care, and ensure quality outcomes. May serve as charge nurse and delegate tasks to licensed or unlicensed staff. Practice within applicable nursing standards and ethics, perform comprehensive assessments, coordinate resident education, and support care across preventative, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment phases. Evening shifts from 2:15pm to 10:45pm with every other weekend and rotating holidays, 32 hours/week, with additional shift differentials on evenings and weekends. Eligible for medical, dental, and vision benefits; sign-on bonus available. Requires graduation from an accredited nursing program (bachelor’s preferred) and an active RN license; ongoing professional competencies and certifications as required by department and state regulations. Ability to work within a not-for-profit, Christian care environment with adherence to drug screening and background checks.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred (CCNE, ACEN, NLN CNEA)
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred
- Current unencumbered RN license (State Board of Nursing) and/or multistate licensure in NLC states
- Obtains and maintains required department-specific competencies and certifications
- Evening RN shift availability (2:15pm–10:45pm) and 32 hours/week
- Ability to perform nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation, evaluation) in a long-term care setting
- Charge nurse responsibilities possible, including delegation to licensed and unlicensed personnel
- Participation in inter-disciplinary care planning and resident education
- Adherence to Nurse Practice Act and professional standards
- Drug screening and background check required at offer
