Job Summary
Provide individualized nursing care for residents in a long-term care facility using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation). Collaborates with residents, families, and interdisciplinary colleagues to plan and evaluate care; may serve as charge nurse and supervise licensed/unlicensed personnel. Cares for residents across preventive care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment; ensure safe, reliable administration of care and address care/service concerns. Requires RN licensure in the applicable state and licensure maintenance. Evening shift (2:15pm–10:45pm), 32 hours/week, with every-other weekend and rotating holidays; includes shift differentials and eligibility for medical, dental, and vision benefits. Education: graduation from an accredited nursing program (Bachelor's degree preferred). Additional qualifications include adherence to Nurse Practice Act standards and ethical guidelines. The role emphasizes coordination of resident care, education, and collaboration with the care team in a not-for-profit long-term care setting.
Required Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered RN license in the state of practice
- Graduation from a nationally accredited nursing program (preferred; CCNE/ACEN/NLN CNEA)
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (preferred)
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as required by shift (2:15pm-10:45pm; every other weekend; rotating holidays)
- Good standing and eligibility for licensure per state requirements
