Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides individualized nursing care to residents in long-term care settings using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation and evaluation). Collaborates with residents, families and an inter-disciplinary team to plan, implement and evaluate care. May serve as charge nurse and delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed personnel. Demonstrates professional nursing practice within the Nurse Practice Act and adheres to ethical standards. Responsibilities include coordinating care, resident assessment, and resident education, with emphasis on preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis and treatment. Requires an unencumbered RN license; Bachelor’s degree in nursing is preferred. 32 hours/week, evening shifts (2:15pm–10:45pm) with every other weekend and rotating holidays; shift differentials on evenings and weekends; applicable benefits; and a $10,000 sign-on bonus. Drug screen and pre-employment background check may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program
- RN license in good standing in the practicing state (unencumbered)
- BSN preferred
- Multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
