Job Summary
Provide individualized nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting, coordinating care with residents, families, and interdisciplinary colleagues. May serve as charge nurse and delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed staff as appropriate. Responsibilities include using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation) across preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment, with emphasis on resident education and care coordination. The RN role operates during full-time evenings (2:15pm–10:45pm), totaling 32 hours per week, with every-other weekend and rotating holidays, and includes additional shift differentials on evenings and weekends. Requires an unencumbered RN license and may require applicable certifications; benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, among others.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred (CCNE/ACEN/NLN CNEA)
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license in the applicable state or multistate license (NLC)
- Obtains and maintains required department competencies and certifications
- Provide care within the Nurse Practice Act and applicable standards
- Experience in long-term care settings preferred
