Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized care to residents, covering all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment. Collaborate with residents, families, and interdisciplinary colleagues to plan, implement, and evaluate care plans. Coordinate care and conduct resident assessments while educating residents on various nursing interventions. Serve as charge nurse when needed, delegating appropriate tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel within their competence levels. Ensure safe administration of resident care and resolve service concerns in compliance with the Nurse Practice Act and state licensure standards.
Required Qualifications
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA)
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred
