Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized care for residents, managing assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Collaborate with interdisciplinary colleagues, providers, families, and residents to coordinate care and implement preventative health measures. Perform resident education and various nursing interventions while maintaining competency within the full scope of practice. May serve as charge nurse, delegating tasks to licensed and unlicensed personnel within their scope and competence. Function within state Nurse Practice Act standards and American Nurses Association codes of ethics. Includes every other weekend and holiday rotation on 12-hour day shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA)
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred
