Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized care to residents, covering all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment. Coordinate resident assessments, education, and various nursing interventions while collaborating with families and interdisciplinary colleagues to plan and evaluate care plans. Serve as charge nurse when needed to delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel, ensuring safe administration of resident care. Maintain competency within the full scope of nursing practice as outlined in the Nurse Practice Act and state licensure standards. Includes every other weekend and holiday rotation on 12-hour day shifts with a full-time schedule of 36 hours weekly.
Required Qualifications
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA)
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred
