Job Summary
Provide nursing care and administer medication to members according to physician's orders and emergent needs, while documenting clinical progress notes. Perform initial nursing assessments, monitor vital signs, and coordinate care with dietary, pharmacy, and therapy services. Assist members with daily functional activities including hygiene, meals, and ambulation. Offer health education to staff, members, and families, and participate in facility marketing. Prepare incident reports and may perform Director of Nursing duties as required. Maintain compliance with company policies, safety standards, and NJ Dept of Health regulations. Requires RN license, 1-2 years experience in licensed health care facilities, and ability to work flexible schedules.
Required Qualifications
- RN License
- CPR certification
- valid malpractice insurance policy if applicable
- 1-2 years full time equivalent experience in a licensed health care facility
- Knowledge of company policies and procedures
- Knowledge of NJ Dept of Health and Senior Services Manuals of Standards for Adult Day Health Care Licensure
- Knowledge of applicable state and federal environmental and OSHA regulations
- Ability to demonstrate good English communication skills, both orally and in writing
- Ability to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to demonstrate excellent organizational skills
- Ability to make independent decisions
- Ability to handle multiple priorities
- Ability to work in a cross-functional capacity
- Ability to work flexible schedules on demand
Desired Qualifications
- Geriatric and long term care experience
- May be required to be bilingual (English/Spanish)
