Job Summary
Monitor consumers and take appropriate action for side effects and adverse reactions to medications while providing oversight and general nursing care to persons with behavioral health challenges. Participate as a member of the interdisciplinary team by attending Person Centered Plan meetings, developing plans as requested, and assisting with assessing learning needs to carry out teaching. Follow the supports and services indicated in the recipients Crisis Plan to provide integrated crisis response, stabilization interventions, and prevention activities for individuals with intellectual, developmental disabilities, and mental health challenges. Maintain proficiency in CPR, first aid, and job-specific training while ensuring compliance with pre-employment screening and registry checks.
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license
- Valid drivers license
- Personal vehicle insurance coverage
- Proficiency in CPR from the floor level requiring to work on hands, knees, bending, standing and lifting
- Close vision

- Ability to lift 20 lbs
- Ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs
- Ability to pull a minimum of 25 lbs
- Ability to squat

- Ability to regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls
- Ability to regularly stand and walk
- Complete criminal background check
- Name check in the registries (OIG exclusions database, Child Abuse Registry, and Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities)
- Drug testing
- Education verification
- Other credentialing based on position requirements
- Proof of employment history or references
- Proof of driver's license, driver's insurance, and vehicle
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelors of Nursing
- One year of nursing experience
- Experience in behavioral health nursing
