Job Summary
RN Flow Coordinator at OU Health Stephenson Cancer Center coordinates patient throughput in the Main Chemotherapy Infusion Center, providing direction to physicians, nurses, and staff to move patients efficiently and safely through care processes. The role involves prioritizing urgent cases, acting as a liaison among patients, families, and hospital staff, escalating medical necessity and urgency, and supporting flow across care areas and across the OU Health system while upholding OU Health values and compliance with regulatory standards. The position requires teamwork in a fast-paced, high-volume oncology environment with strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. It includes direct nursing care as needed and contributes to achieving throughput goals and quality initiatives for patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's (BSN) Degree in Nursing, BSN preferred
- Current Registered Nurse License (RN)
- 2 years of patient care experience as a Registered Nurse
- Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) certification
- Knowledge, Skills, Abilities related to nursing theory, practices, and coordination of care
