Job Summary
Facilitate, communicate, and collaborate with the healthcare team to identify and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients across Medical Surgical, Critical Care, and ED units. Optimize patient health, well-being, and safety through the nursing process while adhering to patient care standards and the State Nurse Practice Act. Provide relationship-based care by floating to multiple units within Penrose, St. Francis, St. Mary Corwin, and St. Thomas More hospitals. This night-shift role requires 24 months of hospital RN experience in the assigned specialty and a current RN license (Colorado or Compact). Full-time and part-time schedules are available with night shift differentials.
Required Qualifications
- RN License required
- Current state nursing licenses or RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact
- Colorado Only: RNs working in Colorado under a multi-state license must obtain their CO RN license within 30 days of establishing residency
- Nursing Diploma or Associates Degree in Nursing required
- BLS from the American Heart Association required
- Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to unit type or specialty area
- 24 months of hospital RN experience in unit type/specialty area in which candidate will float
- Must be able to travel all hospitals assigned within that zone
- Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally
- Exert up to 20lbs frequently
- Exert up to 10lbs constantly
