Job Summary
RN Float Pool - Full-time Night shift at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Festus, MO. The role involves direct patient care across age groups with assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation, and coordinating care with ancillary departments. The Float Pool allows rotation through multiple units (ED, ICU, TCU, PCU, all Med-Surg units, and Acute Rehab) to develop clinical assessment skills and teamwork. Requires graduation from a nursing program (Associates/Diploma/BSN) and an active RN license in the hiring state or a compact license, with BLS certification either on hire or within 30 days. Week schedule is 36 hours per week during night shifts and includes a sign-on bonus for Graduate and Experienced nurses.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
- Licensure: Current RN license in hiring state and/or compact licensure
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association or complete within 30 days of hire
- Experience/role expectations: Float Pool RN; units may include ED, ICU, TCU, PCU, all Med-Surg units, and Acute Rehab
- 36 hours per week, Nights
- 45- to 60-minute patient care windows and shift-based responsibilities (as implied by unit-based care)
- MO nursing practice act compliance
- Maintains nursing practice standards and Mercy ServiceStandards
