Job Summary
The RN in the Float Pool will perform systematic assessments of patients' physical, emotional, clinical, and psychosocial needs as part of the medical care plan. Responsibilities include planning, implementing, and evaluating care interventions to ensure safe and effective patient care. Required qualifications include various AHA certifications within specified timeframes, a current Registered Nurse license, and completion of additional training programs. Preferred experience includes 2 years in Med Surge.
Required Qualifications
- AHA ACLS within 90 days
- AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers within 30 days
- AHA PALS Provider within 180 days
- ASLS - Advanced Stroke Life Support within 180 days
- CardioVascular Disease CEU hours - 8 per year annually by transcript due date
- Current Missouri Registered Nurse license or current Registered Nurse license from a compact state
- If no experience as an RN or LPN in a hospital setting or more than 5 years since last worked in a hospital setting, pass Patient Care Orientation (PCO) within 30 days
- NIH Stroke Scale Certification within 365 days
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training Program (CPI) within 365 days
- RN Competency Day annually by transcript due date
- Stroke CEU Hours - 8 per year annually by transcript due date
