RN Float Pool – Critical Care

Registered Nurse Float Pool – Critical Care role providing patient-centered care on a Neuro/CCU unit. Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and supervising patient care; delegates activities to non-RN personnel; may serve as Charge Nurse and preceptor; supports education and discharge planning; demonstrates competency in neuro assessment, airway management of neuro patients, suctioning (pharyngeal, endotracheal, tracheostomy), ventilator care, and specialized procedures, including care of patients with Halo braces and tracheostomies; collaborates with healthcare team to develop and communicate individualized plans of care, and to adapt plans as patient needs evolve. Uses care policies/procedures, supports family involvement, and ensures high-quality service across the department.
