RN Float Pool – Critical Care

RN Float Pool – Critical Care role within Neuro/Cardiac ICU units. Responsibilities include assessing patients continuously, developing and documenting individualized plans of care, coordinating with the healthcare team, evaluating patient responses and readiness for discharge, and providing education to patients and families. Roles include precepting new staff, acting as charge nurse, and performing neuro-specific and airway management procedures (neuro assessments, tracheostomy care, suctioning, ventilator management). Unit-specific expertise includes handling patients with complex cardiac/neuro conditions and devices (e.g., ECMO, LVAD, Impella) within specialized ICUs and ensuring alignment with the unit's standards and policies. Requires current RN licensure in CT with BSN preferred and BCLS compliance within one month of hire; comprehensive benefits and professional development offered.
