RN Float Pool – Critical Care

Registered Nurse in Cardiac ICU/CTICU with Float Pool responsibilities, including assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation of care, supervision of non-RN personnel, and stepping into charge nurse and preceptor roles. Must demonstrate neuro assessment, airway management for neuro patients, care for tracheostomy patients, ventilator care, and familiarity with neuro procedures and the TIa teaching program. Requires collaboration with the healthcare team, patient/family involvement, and ongoing education/post-discharge planning. Licensure as an RN in Connecticut and BSN preferred; BCLS certification required within one month of hire. Provides comprehensive inpatient care across multiple neuro and cardiac units with emphasis on high-acuity, complex patients.
