RN Float Pool - Critical Care

RN Float Pool - Critical Care role involving direct patient care on a nursing unit with supervision of non-RN staff, serving as Charge Nurse as needed, and potential cross-unit placement. Responsibilities include assessing and planning individualized care, implementing and evaluating plans, patient and family education, and collaboration with the healthcare team. Demonstrates neuro-focused assessments, airway management, suctioning for pharyngeal, endotracheal, and tracheostomy care, care of a patient with Halo brace, management of ventilated patients, and participation in the hospital’s Tia teaching program. Serves as a preceptor to new staff and contributes to performance expectations related to customer service, teamwork, resource utilization, and personal development. Requires BSN preferred and 1 year of acute nursing experience; CT RN licensure and BLS are required.
