Job Summary
RN Float Pool – Critical Care responsibilities include assessing the patient’s condition, developing and communicating a plan of care, implementing and coordinating care with the healthcare team, and evaluating outcomes. The role includes supervision of non-RN personnel, acting as charge nurse, and precepting new staff. Demonstrates competencies in neuro care, airway management for neuro patients, care of tracheostomy patients, ventilator care, and participation in education and discharge planning. Requires a nursing degree (BSN preferred), 1 year of acute nursing experience, and a Connecticut RN license; BLS is required. The position emphasizes patient-centered care, teamwork, and adherence to unit policies and procedures across nursing units as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate Of An Accredited School Of Nursing
- BSN Preferred
- 1 Year Acute Nursing Experience Required
- Valid State Of Connecticut Registered Nurse License
- BLS Required
- Critical Care or Emergency experience preferred
- Proficient In Use Of Computer Software To Include Electronic Patient Records
- Must Have Ability To Use Internet For Literature Searches Regarding Care For Patients
- Demonstrates Skill In Neuro Assessment and Care (Neuro Patient Care)
