Job Summary
Float Pool RN in Critical Care at University Hospital in Madison, WI, providing care across multiple ICU and IMC units (Trauma Life Center, Burn ICU, Neurosciences ICU, Cardiovascular ICU) and rotating to IMC as needed. Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care, assess and escalate complications, and administer advanced life support therapies while partnering with multidisciplinary teams. Mentor and orient nurses new to the Critical Care Float Pool and contribute to strategic planning, quality improvement, and Shared Governance. Requires BSN preferred and RN licensure in WI (or a compact jurisdiction), CPR/BLS, ACLS within 6 months, and inpatient nursing experience (6 months) with a commitment to professional growth and patient/family-centered care.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in Wisconsin or a compact jurisdiction
- CPR/BLS Certification (Upon Hire)
- ACLS (Within 6 months)
- Six (6) months nursing experience in Inpatient Units or current Nurse Residency Program completion with orientation success
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) Preferred
