Job Summary
Assess and reassess patient health needs, analyze findings for nursing diagnoses, and implement care interventions guided by current standards. Evaluate patient outcomes using critical thinking and evidence-based knowledge to reach sound conclusions. Provide care across multiple service lines including medical and cardiac intensive care units, step down units, med/surg, ortho/neuro, oncology, and post-surgical areas. Float between approved pods such as Med/Surg-Observation, Ortho/Spine, Intermediate Care, Critical Care, and Emergency Department campuses. Maintain current Oklahoma RN license, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and pod-specific certifications like PALS or MANDT. Earn differentials for flex, evening, night, and weekend shifts. Required Qualifications
- Must be able to float between all the units of one of the approved pods.
- Approved pods include: Med/Surg - Observation, and Ortho/Spine.
- Intermediate Care - PCU and PCCU.
- Critical Care - ICU and CVICU.
- Emergency Department - Hwy 9, Moore Medical Center and Healthplex campuses.
- Diploma or Associate's degree (ADN) required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN)
- RN experience as follows:
- Med/Surg Pod - 1 year experience in an equivalent area.
- IMC Pod 1 year IMC or equivalent experience.
- Critical Care - 2 Years Critical Care Experience to include sufficient orientation to and demonstrated annual competencies for: Basic & Advanced Hemodynamics, Pacemaker and Mechanical Ventilation.
- ER Pod - 2 years ED experience.
- Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse license
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Basic EKG interpretation certified within 6 months of hire
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- MANDT certification within 6 months of employment
