Job Summary
Organize and facilitate patients in the Operating Room, coordinating care between surgeons, anesthesiologists, and room staff. Perform first assistant duties during surgical incisions, excisions, and repairs, including tissue handling, vessel clamping, coagulation, and suturing. Manage sterile fields, instrument counts, and aseptic techniques while assisting with patient positioning, prepping, and draping. Collaborate on preoperative assessments, diagnostic procedures, and postoperative care plans. Document nursing interventions, discharge plans, and practice improvements. Requires RN licensure, RNFA certification, CNOR credential, and BLS/PALS certification. Full-time role with on-call rotation in Lodi, CA.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
- Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) certification in the state of practice
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- All required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable
- E-Verify participation acknowledgment
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Two years' perioperative nursing experience
- Certified Registered Nurse First Assistant (CRNFA) certification
- Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Status (PEARS)/Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Association of perioperative Registered Nurses (AORN) membership
