Job Summary
Performs an expanded perioperative role as the first assistant to surgeons during surgical procedures in the operating room. RNFA works alongside the surgeon to provide direct patient care and collaborates with the perioperative team and patient-designated support person. Responsibilities include intraoperative patient care as the first assistant, focused pre-operative nursing assessment, planning and evaluating care, administering medications, and contributing to the overall efficiency and safety of the perioperative department. Requires CNOR; 2-5 years of nursing experience; PRN 8-hour days, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM; located in Alton, Illinois.
Required Qualifications
- RN license
- CNOR preferred
- CNOR or Certified First Assistant
- 2-5 years nursing experience in perioperative setting
- Nursing Diploma/Associate's degree
