Job Summary
Collects patient health data preoperatively, intraoperatively, and postoperatively to assess wound status, sterile fields, and patient progress. Functions as first assistant to the primary surgeon during operative or invasive procedures, verifying site, laterality, and positioning while implementing hemostasis and sterile techniques. Facilitates preoperative procedures, assists with invasive line placement, harvests saphenous veins and radial arteries for coronary artery bypass grafting, and participates in teaching fundamental operating room techniques. Makes postoperative rounds and provides patient education regarding identified needs. Requires current CNOR and CRNFA certification, FL RN licensure, BLS, and ACLS.
Required Qualifications
- Current CNOR and CRNFA Certification
- Current RN Licensure in the state of FL
- BLS
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- Minimum 2 years in area of specialty
