Job Summary
RN First Assist in the Main Operating Room at Mercy St. Louis Hospital. Provides patient care using the nursing process in perioperative settings across multiple surgical specialties (General, Gynecologic, Urologic, Robotic, ENT, Orthopedic, Neurosurgery) with emphasis on coordinating patient care with other departments, upholding patient rights and confidentiality, and maintaining professional accountability. Requires active RN licensure, a minimum of 1 year perioperative nursing experience, and BLS/ACLS within the first year. Preferred CNOR and/or RN-First Assistant certification. Sign-on bonus available. The department includes seven specialty teams, state-of-the-art surgical robots, and a mission-driven focus within a Level I Trauma Center and Burn Center. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Active RN licensure in the state of practice
- Minimum of 1-year perioperative nursing experience
- BLS/ACLS required within first year
- CNOR certification and/or RN-First Assistant certification class preferred
