RN First Assist - Main Operating Room

Job Summary
RN First Assist in the Main Operating Room provides patient care using the nursing process and coordinates perioperative care with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality, demonstrates accountability to Mercy Service Standards, and supports a Level I Trauma Center environment across multiple surgical specialties (general, gynecologic, urologic, orthopedic, ENT, neurosurgery) with robotic surgical capability. Requires RN licensure, perioperative experience, and BLS/ACLS within the first year; CNOR and/or RN-First Assistant certification are preferred. Sign-on bonus available.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Active RN licensure in the state of practice
- Minimum of 1-year perioperative nursing experience
- BLS/ACLS required within first year
- CNOR certification and/or RN-First Assistant certification class preferred
