Job Summary
Provide top-of-scope direct patient care in the Progressive Care Unit utilizing the nursing process, evidence-based practice, and a multidisciplinary team approach. Support novice nurses through precepting and competency validation within a technically complex environment while contributing to safety and quality at the point of care. Participate in a four-phased orientation based on AACN Essentials of Critical Care Orientation resources, including simulation-based innovation and blocked learning. Prioritize patient wellness and welcome new knowledge in a fast-paced clinical setting.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years experience
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- 6 months nursing (RN) experience
- BLS - BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
- This position is an onsite role
- Full Time, 72.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)
- Shift: Nights
