Job Summary
Provide top-of-scope direct patient care in the Neuro Trauma ICU utilizing the nursing process within a technically complex environment. Model proficiency by precepting new healthcare staff and guide individualized specialty education through clinical educators to validate competency. Prioritize wellness, a patient perspective, and evidence-based practice while contributing to safety and quality at the point of care. Participate in a four-phased orientation based on AACN's Essentials of Critical Care, including simulation-based innovation and blocked learning. Work nights in a fast-paced, innovative clinical environment as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years experience
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- 6 months nursing (RN) experience
- BLS - BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
- This position is an onsite role
- This position does not offer a hybrid or remote option
