Job Summary
Direct, top-of-scope patient care in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) as part of UCHealth's Progressive Care Fellowship for nurses new to Critical Care. For experienced RNs, the program features a four-phased orientation based on AACN's ECCO resources, simulation-based learning, multi-system knowledge validation, and mentorship from Clinical Educators. The role emphasizes evidence-based practice, multidisciplinary teamwork, precepting newer staff, and participation in a structured Orientation that supports critical care competency. This full-time, on-site position in Loveland, CO includes a days shift with a 72-hour per pay period schedule, competitive pay depending on experience, and robust benefits, tuition and professional-growth opportunities, and performance-based incentives. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider and any relevant life support certification as determined at position level
- 6 months nursing (RN) experience
- BLS - CPR for the Professional Rescuer (card good through sixty days after hire)
- Ability to precept and participate in orientation and education as part of UCHealth Progressive Care Fellowship program
