Job Summary
Provide top-of-scope direct patient care in the Med Surg Progressive Care Unit (PCU) utilizing the nursing process and evidence-based practice within a technically complex environment. Prioritize patient wellness and safety while modeling proficiency through precepting new healthcare staff. Participate in a four-phased orientation based on AACN Essentials of Critical Care resources, including simulation-based innovation and blocked learning to validate competency. Contribute to a multidisciplinary team approach to achieve exceptional outcomes in a fast-paced clinical setting.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years experience
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- 6 months nursing (RN) experience
- BLS - BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
- This position is an onsite role
- Must be available for Day and Night Rotation
- Full Time, 72.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)
