Job Summary
Provide top-of-scope direct patient care in specialty Acute Care (Med-Surg) Units with moderate to high patient acuity. Utilize the nursing process to deliver evidence-based care while modeling proficiency by precepting new healthcare staff. Prioritize patient wellness and safety within a multidisciplinary team environment. Support individualized specialty education and competency validation throughout clinical orientation under Clinical Educator guidance.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years' experience
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- 6 months of nursing (RN) experience
- BLS - BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
