Job Summary
Provide top-of-scope practice in direct patient care for moderate to high acuity specialty Acute Care (Med-Surg) units using the nursing process. Prioritize patient wellness, a patient perspective, and evidence-based practice while contributing to secure safety and quality at the point of care. Model proficiency by precepting new healthcare staff and welcome new knowledge in a fast-paced, innovative clinical environment. Value a multidisciplinary team approach to achieve exceptional outcomes with support from Clinical Educators guiding competency validation.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years' experience
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider and any relevant life support certification as determined at position level
- 6 months of nursing (RN) experience
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
- Direct care includes specialty Acute Care (Med-Surg) Units of moderate to high patient acuity
