Job Summary
Provide direct and indirect patient care, communicating with the healthcare team regarding clinical condition changes, diagnostic results, and symptomatology. Assume responsibility for unit patient populations while performing thorough assessments and adhering to service excellence standards. Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or treatment response, functioning calmly in unexpected crises. Work independently, delegate appropriately, and adjust schedules to meet unit needs, including float assignments and weekend/holiday coverage. Maintain current licensures, certifications, and basic computer knowledge while communicating in English.
Required Qualifications

- Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment
- Perform general nursing duties
- Assumes responsibility for unit patient populations
- Adhere to the service excellence standards established for Mary Rutan Health
- Complete thorough patient assessments
- Demonstrate effective communication skills
- Work independently
- Delegate appropriately
- Function in unexpected crisis in a calm, confident manner
- Adjust schedule to meet unit needs
- Float to and work in other areas as assigned
- Accept low census as needed
- Work required weekends and holidays
- Adhere to all staffing and personnel policies
- Keep all required licensures and certifications current
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current State Nursing Licensure in the State of Ohio
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association
- Current ACLS certification through the American Heart Association or completion within 12 months of hire
- For FBC Nurses NRP is a required certification prior to completion of orientation
- For ED, OR, PACU and SDS current PALS certification through the American Heart Association or completion within 12 months of hire
- Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing
- Basic computer knowledge
- Cardiac Monitoring
Desired Qualifications
- BSN preferred
- Additional language(s) and communication skills (sign language) preferred
