Job Summary
RN - FACT Team leads direct care in behavioral health settings, applying advanced nursing knowledge to assess, plan, and provide services for adults and children with mental illness, substance use disorders, or developmental disabilities. The role includes direct service provision, treatment planning, risk and safety management, and mentoring/consulting to other medical/non-medical direct care staff, with a focus on compliance with laws and division standards. The position is described as a lead role in direct care with responsibilities spanning assessment, treatment planning, direct service provision, and integrated care across mental health, substance abuse, and co-occurring services.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing school
- Must have a valid license as a Registered Nurse in Florida
- Must be certified in CPR
- Must be able to effectively perform client/patient behavior management techniques (CPI) with appropriate training
- Must be able to provide individualized, integrated mental health, substance abuse and co-occurring services to meet the needs of individuals served and their families
- Must be able to use a computer
- Must be eligible to participate in state or federally funded programs such as Medicaid
- Must be able to pass organization screening requirements, including state or federal background screenings as appropriate
- A Level II background screening is required
