Job Summary
RN Extra Shift in Medical-Surgical unit providing patient-centered care through the nursing process. Responsibilities include coordinating patient care with other departments, maintaining patient rights and confidentiality, and ensuring care is in line with Mercy Service Standards and mission. Requires active RN license in state or compact, BLS (and additional certifications such as ACLS/NRP/ENPC/TNCC/CPHON/OCN/PALS/PEARS/S.T.A.B.L.E./C-EFM as required by unit), and ability to push/pull/lift, stand, and walk as part of shift duties. Education options include Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
- Current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- ACLS/NRP/ENPC/TNCC/CPHON/OCN/BLS/PALS/PEARS/S.T.A.B.L.E./C-EFM certifications as required by unit
