RN-Extended Recovery Unit

Job Summary
Perform the nursing process using evidence-based practice to deliver individualized, patient-centered care in the Extended Recovery Unit. Coordinate interdisciplinary rounds, document safely, and partner with patients and families to set goals and update care plans. Mentor staff and students, lead performance improvement initiatives, and contribute to protocol development to reduce readmissions and adverse events. Complete mandatory education and competency assessments while upholding Georgia Nurse Practice Act standards and TJC safety goals. Requires 5+ years of direct patient care experience, BLS certification, and ability to function in a fast-paced night shift environment.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed RN (Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN - Multi-state Compact)
- Basic Life Support or BLS - Instructor
- Minimum 5 years RN experience
- Ability to read, write and speak English language
- Strong interpersonal, collaborative skills
- Ability to function in a fast paced environment and respond to emergencies in using a decisive, composed and respectful manner
- Possess excellent time management skills
- Practices nursing using evidence and analytical skills
- Possessing strong critical thinking skills
Desired Qualifications
- Associates Nursing or Bachelors Nursing-Preferred
