RN-Extended Recovery Unit

Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments, diagnoses, and evaluations using evidence-based practice to deliver individualized, patient-centered care in the Extended Recovery Unit. Coordinate interdisciplinary rounds and documentation while partnering with patients and families to set goals and ensure safe, quality outcomes. Mentor preceptors and staff, lead performance improvement initiatives, and participate in shared governance activities to promote retention and best practices. Maintain compliance with Georgia Nurse Practice Act, TJC safety goals, and Wellstar policies while managing direct patient care across the continuum. Requires 5 years of RN experience, BLS certification, and strong critical thinking skills.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Nursing or Bachelors Nursing
- Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN - Multi-state Compact
- Basic Life Support or BLS - Instructor
- Minimum 5 years RN experience
- Required direct patient care experience
- Ability to read, write and speak English language
