Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments, diagnoses, and evaluations for patients in the Extended Recovery Unit while coordinating care through interdisciplinary rounds and bedside teaching. Deliver relationship-based, individualized care that adapts to population characteristics and cultural diversity, ensuring timely documentation and compliance with the Georgia Nurse Practice Act. Mentor staff and students, lead performance improvement initiatives, and collaborate on protocol development to reduce re-admissions and adverse events. Complete mandatory education and competency assessments while utilizing evidence-based practice to address clinical questions. Requires five years of direct RN experience, BLS certification, and ability to function in a fast-paced night shift environment.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Nursing or Diploma (Nurse) Nursing or Bachelors Nursing
- RN - Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - RN - Multi-state Compact
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
- Minimum 5 years RN experience
