Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments, diagnoses, and evaluations for patients in the Extended Recovery Unit while coordinating care through interdisciplinary rounds and bedside teaching. Deliver relationship-based, patient-centered care that adapts to population characteristics and cultural diversity, ensuring all documentation and safety protocols align with Wellstar's Shared Governance Model. Mentor staff and students as a preceptor, lead performance improvement initiatives, and collaborate on protocol development to reduce re-admissions and adverse events. Maintain licensure and complete mandatory education while functioning decisively in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Nursing or Bachelors Nursing
- Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN - Multi-state Compact
- Basic Life Support or BLS - Instructor
- Minimum 5 years RN experience
- Required direct patient care experience
- Ability to read, write and speak English language
