RN-Extended Recovery Unit

Job Summary
Perform the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation to ensure safe, individualized patient care in the Extended Recovery Unit. Coordinate interdisciplinary rounds, case reviews, and bedside shift reports while partnering with patients and families to set care goals. Lead or support performance improvement initiatives, evidence-based practice activities, and shared governance efforts to promote quality outcomes. Mentor preceptors and staff students to develop the nursing workforce. Maintain accurate documentation, complete mandatory education, and uphold all Wellstar policies and the Georgia Nurse Practice Act. Requires 5 years RN experience, BLS certification, and night shift availability.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Nursing or Diploma (Nurse) Nursing or Bachelors Nursing-Preferred
- RN - Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - RN - Multi-state Compact
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
- Minimum 5 years RN experience
- Ability to read, write and speak English language
