Job Summary
Provide patient care utilizing the nursing process in the Emergency Department. Coordinate patient care with other departments, maintain patient rights and confidentiality, and perform duties in alignment with Mercy mission, values, and Service Standards. Requires nursing degree (Associates, Diploma, or BSN), active RN licensure in the hiring state/compact, and relevant certifications (e.g., BLS; ACLS/NRP/ENPC/TNCC/CPHON/OCN/PALS/PEARS/S.T.A.B.L.E./C-EFM) as dictated by unit. Position emphasizes physical requirements (push/pull/lift 50 lbs; prolonged standing/walking) and Mercy-provided benefits for team members working 32+ hours per pay period.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
- Licensure: RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or within 30 days of hire)
- ACLS/NRP/ENPC/TNCC/CPHON/OCN/BLS/PALS/PEARS/S.T.A.B.L.E./C-EFM or other unit-specific certifications as required
